One charged, one sought for making bomb threat

MCDOWELL COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – One person has been arrested and another is being sought in connection with a bomb threat called to McDowell County Courthouse earlier this week.

On Monday the courthouse had to be evacuated and swept by a bomb squad after after a man reportedly called McDowell County Communications and made a bomb threat involving the courthouse.

The sheriff’s office said on Tuesday deputies located and arrested Christopher Jaren Forney, 30, of Marion and charged him with felony false bomb reports regarding a public building. He was denied bond…
