Parts of South Carolina face severe weather that could generate powerful winds, tornadoes and flooding this weekend, the latest forecast shows.
According to the National Weather Service , the Midlands and the Upstate could see a powerful line of storms between late Saturday and early Sunday.
For the Midlands, damaging winds, a few tornadoes, and flash flooding are the potential hazards, the NWS states. The wind will be potentially strong enough to down trees and power lines. Most of the strongest winds are expected early morning to the afternoon on Sunday.
