Mission Hospital’s chief nursing officer, Melanie Wetmore, who led the staff through some of the most tumultuous years in the company’s 140-year history, will depart for another leadership role with HCA Healthcare, according to a letter obtained by Asheville Watchdog.
The letter, sent Friday by Mission Hospital chief executive officer Greg Lowe to staff, said Wetmore will leave her role May 1 and leave western North Carolina.
