New 3,300-Acre Industrial Megasite Could Bring Billions in Investment to North Carolina

North Carolina might soon be home to one of the nations largest industrial megasites.

A proposed 3,300-acre megasite in Pitt County, led by the Greenville Eastern North Carolina Alliance in partnership with the City of Greenville and Pitt County, aims to attract major manufacturers with an estimated investment of $5 billion.

The massive site, located just north of Greenville along Saintsville Road near Highways 11 and 264, is part of a 10,000-acre tract owned by timberland company Weyerhauser. Tax records currently value the largest parcel at nearly $8.8 million.
