GAFFNEY, SC (LOOTPRESS) – After nearly six years on the run, U.S. Marshals arrested 38-year-old Charles Ray Blevins in South Carolina on March 31. Blevins, a fugitive wanted for a 2019 murder in Kentucky, was taken into custody after a failed escape attempt.
Blevins, of Williamson, West Virginia, was wanted for first-degree murder and illegal firearm possession in Kentucky, as well as a parole violation in West Virginia. He was considered highly dangerous, known to carry firearms and body armor, and had threatened to resist arrest violently.
Authorities tracked Blevins to a residence on Coach Hill Drive in Gaffney, South Carolina. As U.S. Marshals’ Special Operations Group moved in, Blevins attempted to flee but fell, breaking his leg.
