HAYWOOD COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — With the current economic conditions, more people are turning to food pantries, including the Haywood Christian Ministry, which expects even more demand as tariffs are implemented.
The pantry is now better equipped to meet the demand with the addition of a food hub- a 23,000-square-foot food distribution center in Bethel, recently acquired by Haywood Christian Ministry. Staff members said that the hub will help address the increasing need for food security.
