HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — The Cascades Mountain Resort, in Hendersonville, N.C., has officially closed as of April 11.
Located at 201 Sugarloaf Road, the resort was shut down by the City of Hendersonville Fire Marshal after multiple serious fire code violations.
“The money they’re making at the motel, why didn’t they put the money into fixing it,” said Andriana Chamber. “People are going there to stay and be comfortable — a fire breaks out, they are stuck in there when they sleep, they don’t hear anything.”
According to the latest notice, guests and residents are not allowed on the property, but those who stayed at the hotel can grab their personal belongings under supervision…
