ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — On Monday, April 14, Dennis Gates Miller, 33, of Asheville, pleaded guilty to multiple felony charges after a looting incident amid the aftermath of Helene, according to a Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office press release.
The DA office said Miller pleaded guilty to the following charges:
- Habitual Breaking and Entering
- Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer with Physical Injury
- Looting
- Breaking and Entering
- Flee to Elude Arrest
Miller was sentenced to an active term of 48 to 80 months in the N.C. Department of Corrections, which is at least 4 years.
