Hundreds of Buncombe residents without electricity

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — Scattered power outages have been reported across the Asheville area.

As of 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, some 1,847 Duke Energy customers in Buncombe County were without electricity. The Duke Energy Outage Map showed 17 outages in county — one south of Black Mountain, 45 east of Weaverville and 864 northeast of downtown Asheville.

The outages in the Weaverville area and northeast of Asheville were listed as being caused by fallen trees or limbs…
