Part of I-26 in Henderson County to close for repairs, NCDOT says

HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — Crews will close a stretch of Interstate 26 in Henderson County this weekend.

According to the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), the outside lane of I-26 East near Green River bridge will close to drivers starting at 7 p.m. Sunday and will reopen to travelers by 7 a.m. Friday.

Officials said crews will install a new guardrail, pave a section near the bridge and build a shoulder berm gutter.
