CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. (WLOS) — Chimney Rock State Park is not expected to open Memorial Day weekend, despite hopes from local leaders.
The park sustained severe damage from Hurricane Helene on Sept. 27, 2024. Nearly eight months later, cleanup and restoration are still well underway.
