Austin Strong Car Show raises awareness of ‘Slow Down, Move Over’ laws

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Auto enthusiasts rolled out their best vehicles at Tanger Outlets Asheville on Saturday, May 31, for an event highlighting “Slow Down, Move Over” laws.

Hundreds of people attended the Austin Strong Car Show, named in honor of Austin Gayne, a Haywood County man who was hit by a car while working a wrecker job in Orlando, Florida. After nearly a month in the hospital Gayne died from his injuries.

The event was meant to serve as a reminder about “Slow Down, Move Over” laws, which are in effect across the country…
