Second overnight earthquake reported in western NC on Sunday

TRANSYLVANIA COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The United States Geological Survey (USGS) said an earthquake was reported in Transylvania County on Sunday.

According to the USGS, the 2.4 magnitude earthquake had a depth of zero kilometers and hit around 1:19 a.m. near Rosman.

Officials said the quake was 7.3 miles west of Rosman, 29.2 miles northwest of Easley, South Carolina and 30.1 miles west southwest of Hendersonville, North Carolina…
