Asheville man receives 8 years for drug trafficking

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – An Asheville man has been sentenced to eight years in prison for drug trafficking.

44-year-old Aaron Daniel Jones pled guilty to trafficking opium/heroin, along with additional consecutive sentences for felony breaking & entering, assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.

Officials said the sentencing resulted from an investigation by agents with the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office into Jones’s narcotics distribution activities…
