Identical twins Krystie and Kaydie Murphy are two of at least 34 physicians, dentists, and pharmacists who will remain in Western North Carolina after completing their residency or fellowship training this month at MAHEC.
The Colorado natives began their Internal Medicine residencies at MAHEC in 2022 after earning their Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degrees. Having graduated from their three-year training program this month, the sisters will stay in the area to practice hospital medicine — caring for patients in Buncombe and surrounding rural counties.
