Chimney Rock State Park reopens months after closing due to Hurricane Helene

CHIMNEY ROCK, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Chimney Rock State Park is set reopen after months of recovery following Hurricane Helene.

The state park is reopening exactly nine months after Hurricane Helene swept through the region. The storm caused historic flooding that washed away the park’s bridge and damaged the majority of businesses near Chimney Rock Village.
