Lake Lure prepares for a quieter Fourth of July as drained lake impacts holiday tourism

LAKE LURE, N.C. (WLOS) — Fourth of July is normally one of the busiest holidays for the town of Lake Lure.

However, after the lake was drained to remove Hurricane Helene debris, the town isn’t expecting nearly the same number of visitors.
