Asheville man charged in June shooting incident on Atkinson Street, police report

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — An Asheville man has been arrested and charged with being involved in a shooting incident from June 28 on Atkinson Street, according to the Asheville Police Department.

In a July 9 news release, Asheville police said Darrison Deshawn Brown, 34, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, carrying a concealed gun and second-degree trespass.

The incident occurred around 2:32 a.m. on June 28. According to a previous news release from the Asheville Police Department, upon arrival, officers encountered a large crowd on Atkinson Street. While canvassing the area, police say they located multiple shell casings and several damaged vehicles…
