ALDI Reopens Asheville Store with Community Support

Asheville – ALDI celebrated the grand reopening of its East Asheville store on July 10, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the community’s recovery from Hurricane Helene. The event not only welcomed back shoppers but also highlighted ALDI’s commitment to supporting local resilience through a $10,000 donation to MANNA FoodBank.

Community Resilience on Display

The reopening drew a large crowd, with lines wrapping around the store as residents expressed their excitement to return to a familiar shopping destination. “ALDI and the Asheville community share in the excitement of re-opening our store on Swannanoa River Road and restoring access to quality groceries at the nation’s lowest prices,” said JR Perry, ALDI Regional Vice President. He noted that the turnout exemplified the community’s eagerness to reconnect with the store after months of closure due to storm damage.

As part of the grand reopening festivities, the first 100 customers received gift bags filled with ALDI-exclusive products and gift cards through the ALDI Golden Ticket giveaway program. This initiative aims to engage new shoppers and introduce them to the unique offerings of ALDI.
