ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — For the second year in a row, the independent monitor for HCA Healthcare issued a report that the healthcare company may still be violating its 2019 sale agreement for Mission Hospital.
The report, completed by independent monitor Dogwood Health Trust, reviewed 2024 operations, but used 2023 issues as its main points for alleged potential non-compliance.
The 40-page report submitted by Gerald Coyne, who leads the independent monitor team, focuses on allegations that the hospital lost its ability to provide the community an oncology department with staff physician losses.
