ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Over the years, there’s been a disconnect between the community and law enforcement agencies, stemming from a lack of trust, communication barriers, perception of bias, historical issues, and lack of community engagement.
On Tuesday, Aug. 5, Asheville Police Department community resource officer Isaiah Senyak and Keynon Lake bridged that gap through a game of chess at a National Night Out event.
