ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — An Asheville artist who lost thousands of dollars’ worth of equipment and original art when Hurricane Helene hit is getting a fresh start thanks to a local brewery.
Matthew Decker received a shocking surprise when he walked into Wicked Weed Brewing on Thursday, Aug. 7. The brewing company rewarded the local artist with a reward valued at $10,000, recognizing him for going above and beyond for others. It’s part of the brew pub’s first-ever “You Deserve an Upgrade” contest.
