North Carolina mountain earthquake cluster grows, rattled for 2nd time this week

RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) — The second earthquake in less than a week rattled a North Carolina mountain town on Saturday morning — in an area that has been hit with several small quakes.

The first quake this week was a 2.0 magnitude on Monday, located 6.1 miles west of Rosman in Transylvania County.

The latest earthquake rattled the same area — about 6 miles west of Rosman — just before 7 a.m. Saturday with a 2.1 magnitude, according to the U.S. Geological Survey…
