ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — A landmark in Asheville’s River Arts District is set to reopen next month, almost exactly one year after it was completely submerged by Hurricane Helene.
Marquee, located just off Lyman Street, has since been cleaned out and remodeled following the storm’s devastation.
The venue, which offers everything from antiques to original artworks and home decor items, will welcome back 320 artists and vendors once inspections are completed.
“It’s going to be real exciting,” said Robert Nicholas, founder of Marquee. “It’s going to be like a brand new store, because everything in here’s going to be fresh and new and recreated and newly found and newly appreciated.”…
