Asheville Program Empowers Middle School Girls

Free, Back-to-School Shopping and Arts Experience.

As the school year approaches, the newly launched nonprofit Whirled Rhythm Nations United (WRNU) has scheduled several autumn events designed to boost confidence and creativity among Asheville’s middle school girls.

Tickets for the fundraising programs will be available at locations around Asheville throughout August; area organizations are encouraged to purchase a block of tickets to distribute to members of their communities.

The first event, held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m., and Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 3 to 5 p.m., will be a “30-Minute Shop-a-Thon” at the YMI Center, 39 S. Market Street on The Block…
