HOT SPRINGS – During the governor’s office’s team’s visit to Hot Springs and Marshall Aug. 12, the office emphasized that there’s still help available to residents, but the deadline is fast approaching.
Members of Gov. Josh Stein’s Governor’s Office for the Recovery of Western North Carolina, or GROW NC, including Director Matt Calabria, visited Hot Springs and Marshall to speak with residents, business owners and coalition members about Madison County and WNC’s continued rebuild following Tropical Storm Helene.
Helene ravaged downtown Marshall and downtown Hot Springs, as the French Broad River’s crest in downtown Marshall on Sept. 27 shattered the previous high seen during the 1916 floods.
