Oil spill in Black Mountain contained after construction equipment rollover

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — On Friday, Aug. 22, oil was spilled on a road in Black Mountain after a piece of construction equipment rolled over, according to Broad River Fire and Rescue’s Facebook post.

The fire and rescue said subcontractors with Spectrum had a trencher, equipment meant to dig trenches, that rolled over on Shop Ridge Road off Old Fort Road and oil was released.
