YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – The Yancey County Sheriff’s Office reports arresting two men wanted in multiple states on identity theft charges.
Officials said the North Carolina Highway Patrol conducted a traffic stop and found one of the vehicle’s occupants was a wanted man.
Deputies were called and a K-9 team was deployed which uncovered drug paraphernalia and evidence of multiple stolen identities, fraudulent documents and counterfeit checks connected to several states after a search, according to officials…
