Neighbor speaks against plans for over 30 homes on nearly 6-acre lot in Asheville

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — On Tuesday, Aug. 26, the Asheville City Council held a public hearing on the zoning of land between 93 and 95 Springside Road for the purposes of constructing nearly three dozen single-family detached housing units.

Developers aim to build 35 houses on a plot of around 5.8 acres. This would reduce the minimum lot size there from 8,000 square feet to just over 3,000 square feet, with homes positioned six feet from property lines adjacent to the road.
