ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WSPA) — A baby is home with his parents after spending 98 days in Mission Hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
Gadiel Gonzalez-Perez was born on May 27, at only 25.5 weeks. At the time of his birth, Gadriel weighed around 1.2 pounds.
On Monday, Gadiel went home without oxygen, wires or machines. At the time of leaving the hospital, he weighed five pounds, six ounces.
