ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Violent crime in Asheville is down 37% compared to this time last year, according to Police Chief Mike Lamb, who credits stronger partnerships and community involvement for the improvement.
Lamb presented new crime data Friday morning at the Council of Independent Business Owners (CIBO) Issues Meeting, where he emphasized the need for “longer-lasting” solutions to crime, not just trying to make multiple arrests to solve it.”
