Judge raises bond for Wilson man facing new fentanyl charges while awaiting trial in overdose death

A Wilson County Superior Court judge on Monday ordered higher bond for a Wilson man who faced new fentanyl possession charges while he was out on bond awaiting trial.

Albert Graham Green, 24, of Asheville and Wilson, faces 2023 charges of possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, maintaining a vehicle, dwelling or place for controlled substances and felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance; and 2024 charges of death by distribution in the Sept. 25, 2023, death of Jacob Puente Castro, 17, of Wilson.

While free awaiting trial with a $10,000 secured bond, a $100,000 secured bond and a $1 million unsecured bond, Green was charged on Aug. 19 with felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia in Buncombe County…
