In fact, you don’t even need to cross state lines! You can stay overnight in a castle without ever leaving North Carolina. The Castle in the Sky is a six-bedroom, five-bathroom Airbnb for up to 14 guests, and it is so magnificent that you may wonder if you’ve died and come back as a queen or king. The castle is 7,000 square feet and sits on 10 private acres of gorgeous North Carolina soil. The surrounding trees provide gorgeous views year-round.
The home’s exterior is adorned with swoonworthy stone, and every corner of its interior boasts luxurious details. It’s the perfect place to relax at any time of day, with comfortable furniture and large windows that overlook the natural landscape.
The adjacent kitchen has bright white cabinetry, stainless steel appliances, a small central island, and two coffee makers: a Keurig and a drip coffee maker. The dining space is made for royalty, with a large polished wooden table and eight high-back dining chairs. It has a unique accent wall and fireplace, making it an ideal spot to savor long, delicious dinners.
The castle Airbnb offers numerous spaces, both indoors and out, for unforgettable entertainment. Not one but two game rooms offer a pool table, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, arcade games, and basketball. The speakeasy/library features an extensive book collection, a poker table, a massage chair, and a bar equipped with a wine cooler, ice maker, and cabinetry.
Outdoors, there’s a covered balcony with a dining table, couch, rocking chairs, grill, Blackstone, and a pizza oven. There’s also a barrel sauna, a hot tub, hammocks, and two fire pits.
