WOODFIN, N.C. (WLOS) — A feathered passenger took quite the unexpected journey this past weekend when police officers found and rescued an owl from the grill of a car.
On Sunday, Sept. 7, a young owlet by the name of Hedwig was discovered stuck in the grill of a resident’s car, according to the Woodfin Police Department (WPD). Officers were able to extract Hedwig from the vehicle and then wrap him in a warm blanket.
The owlet appeared “dazed, confused and cold,” likely due to the chilling wind and low temperatures during his unexpected ride, WPD said…
