‘We’re just getting started’: Western N.C. set to receive $64.2 million more for Helene recovery

Hurricane Helene recovery projects will get an extra $64.2 million, according to Department of Homeland Security officials, who made the announcement Monday.

This is in addition to the $3 billion in federal funding North Carolina has already received since last September, the DHS said.
