Earthquake hit Western North Carolina again, data shows

LAKE TOXAWAY, N.C. (WBTV) – Another minor earthquake struck Western North Carolina again over the weekend.

The latest quake hit around 12:45 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 in the Lake Toxaway area in Transylvania County.

U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) data showed the Saturday morning earthquake had a magnitude of 1.7 and struck on the northwestern edge of the lake, near Cardinal and Fairway drives…
