BAT CAVE, N.C. (WLOS) — On Friday, Sept. 26, roughly 300 people participated in a Day of Community Unity at the Bat Cave Fire Station to commemorate one year of Hurricane Helene.
Organizers of the event said it was to remember those lost to the storm and to celebrate the strength of the community in their recovery efforts.
