Asheville nurses rally to ‘sound alarm’ on Medicaid cuts, staffing issues

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Registered nurses in Asheville are rallying Tuesday to sound the alarm on the impact of impending Medicaid cuts on patients.

According to officials, nurses at Mission Hospital are concerned that the hospital’s poor performance in staffing, health and safety, recruitment and retention, and meal and rest breaks will continue as patients grapple with Medicaid cuts starting Oct. 1.
