Home for unhoused veterans still years away from recovery after Hurricane Helene

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – The Asheville Buncombe Community Christian Ministry has run a transitional shelter for homeless veterans for decades.

Helene ripped through their property, forcing veterans to find shelter somewhere else. One year after the storm, the property still has a long way to go.
