Western NC man sentenced to 12 years in prison for Publix stabbing

BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WSPA) – A western North Carolina man will spend at least 12 years in prison for stabbing and kidnapping his ex-girlfriend at a Weaverville grocery store.

According to the Buncombe County District Attorney’s Office, Matthew Martin Miner, 63, was sentenced to 12-15 years in North Carolina prisons after he pleaded guilty to attempted murder and kidnapping.
