MADISON COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Madison County is opening a temporary courthouse thanks to a $4 million grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) after Helene significantly damaged the historic courthouse in Marshall.
“We say temporary because it is a bridging solution for 40 months until we move into our new public service complex, which will have a judicial center,” Madison County Manager Rod Honeycutt said.
