City leaders approve design phase 2 of Azalea Parks and Infrastructure Recovery Project

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville City Council is moving forward with plans to rebuild recreation facilities and transportation infrastructure along Azalea Road and the Swannanoa River.

In a unanimous vote on Tuesday, Oct. 14, city council agreed to move on with design phase II by entering into a contract with Olin Partnership Limited for design and engineering services. Part of the second design phase will be for the Azalea Parks and Infrastructure Recovery.
