YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. (WLOS) — Yancey County Sheriff Shane Hilliard told News 13 on Oct. 22 that a fugitive wanted in Florida was captured on Oct. 21 and is currently being detained in the Yancey County Detention Center.
Hilliard said that Franklin Thomas Oldham was apprehended without incident at a residence in Yancey County. He said Oldham was wanted for assault by strangulation.
