Bearfootin’ Auction Raises $140,800 for Hendersonville Nonprofits and Downtown Programs

The annual Bearfootin’ Auction in Downtown Hendersonville raised $140,800 this year. The funds will support local nonprofits and the Friends of Downtown Hendersonville. The event took place at the Historic Courthouse Plaza. Seventy bidders placed a total of 196 bids. Nine bears were sold at the $10,000 Buy Now option before the auction’s final countdown.

Since 2014, the Bearfootin’ Auction has raised more than $979,000. The event features work by local artists and receives support from the Hendersonville community. Event coordinator Terrye Jacobs said the auction benefits nonprofits and attracts people to Main Street…
