ASHEVILLE, N.C. (828newsNOW) — A local nonprofit is stepping in to help families facing hunger after the upcoming suspension of SNAP benefits.
BeLoved Asheville announced Tuesday the launch of its new EAT Card, a gift card from a local store to provide food directly to those in need.
“We’ll share it with families, schools, and elders so everyone can get food. Hunger is rising in our community.
