Samaritan’s Purse launches aid to Jamaica after Hurricane Melissa

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Samaritan’s Purse is responding to Hurricane Melissa’s impact in Jamaica by delivering 38,000 pounds of aid to survivors.

In an Instagram post, the Boone-based non-profit shared that its plane landed in Kingston, Jamaica.

Team members in North Carolina are still busy right now loading a DC-8 aircraft with additional relief supplies, including water filters, hygiene kits, cooking sets, and medical supplies…
