In August, when the University of North Carolina Asheville announced it was pausing a controversial plan to build a stadium-anchored development atop 45 acres of wooded campus, the school said it would appoint a commission to engage the community and evaluate ideas. Its work would continue into January “at the latest,” UNCA said at the time.
Two and a half months later, the commission has not materialized, and the January timeline is out of the question…
