The City of Asheville plans to replace Fire Station 9 in Oakley. Residents are invited to a community open house on November 17, 2025. The event will take place at the Murphy-Oakley Community Center at 749 Fairview Road from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Attendees can meet the project team, learn about the station’s design, and provide feedback on architectural features. There will be activities for children and refreshments. Those unable to attend can sign up online for updates and future input.
