CLYDE, N.C. (WLOS) — Road closures are coming to U.S. 74 East in Clyde this week as a contractor for the North Carolina Department of Transportation prepares to shift traffic to a detour alignment.
According to a release from NCDOT, road closures will begin Thursday, Nov. 20, and will last until Nov. 25.
One lane on U.S. 74 East will be closed for a short stretch south of Interstate 40 on Sunday, Nov. 16. On Thursday, Nov. 20, traffic will be shifted to the new detour alignment to provide night drivers with two lanes on Friday, Nov. 21…
