ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WLOS) — Asheville is one of the most expensive midsize metro areas for a single adult to live comfortably in, according to a new report.
The report by Upgraded Points, an online travel company, says that of all mid-sized metro areas in the country, Asheville has the seventh-highest average salary needed for one person to live a comfortable life.
The report breaks down “living comfortably” through the 50/30/20 budget rule, which allocates 50% of income to necessities (“needs”), 30% to non-essential spending (“wants”) and 20% to savings or debt repayment. The report covers more than 380 metro areas in the United States…
